About the role:

The Mechanical Engineering Lead (Bespoke) evolves the Mechanical Engineering capability enabling EOS to deliver to business objectives, contributing to EOS' competitive advantage, and fostering future growth.

The Mechanical Engineering Lead (Bespoke) team develops additional bespoke parts for our world-leading Remote Weapon Stations, adapting the RWS to varied customer requirements within tight project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a mechanical engineering team ensuring timely delivery, staff professional development and continual capability growth.
• Manage and mentor staff
• Identify and assess design risks, authorised as the Product Risk Acceptor for LOW risks.
• Ensure that design engineering work is done to defined quality standards, including effective information and configuration management.
• Develop and review engineering work with standards agreed with the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Over 10 years’ experience within mechanical design or in similar role
• Over 3 years’ experience leading teams and/or managing stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Defence regulatory frameworks and associated processes is desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of design, Australian Standards, ASME codes.
• Experience in design tools like 3D modelling, Ansys will be added advantage
• Eligible for charted status and registration in the ACT.
